After the symposium participants voted on top priorities among the action items for the private sector and for government, Mayo Clinic CEO Denis Cortese, M.D., concluded the Mayo Clinic Symposium on Health Care Reform by reiterating the need for patient/customer focus.
He also highlighted how various reform proposals from business, advocacy organizations and federal legislators have strong correlation with the principles developed through the Mayo Health Policy Center process.
Dr. Cortese concluded by asking the symposium attendees for guidance on how to interact and engage with these other groups to continue moving forward with the priorities identified today.
