My reason for reaching out is because we, here at the Senate Democratic Policy Committee (DPC), are in the process of compiling a comprehensive blogging database that is focused on restoring our nation's broken health care system. That said, I am looking for a more direct way we could be in touch with you (i.e., personal phone line/email address). We are seeking those blogging sites/news sources that are interested in presenting news in a straightforward manner and from a relatively progressive/left side of the spectrum point of view. More importantly, however, I’m hoping to learn more information as to the types of blog posts (in reference to content and formatting) you are looking to receive/would potentially write about.

We would like to learn more information as to the things you are looking for in a blog post, i.e., short posts versus long posts, do you allow videos as well as photographs to be posted? Essentially, what are the sorts of things you are looking for in a blog post? How do you generally prefer them, in terms of content and format? Additionally, what sorts of components, in reference to health care reform, have you found your readers are most interested in learning more about? In going forward and considering this debate will continue to heat up in the weeks ahead, we would like to begin sending you what we've been working on, as I think both you and your readers will find this information quite useful.

Thank you and I’ll be looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
